Sarandib is a hardcover book of photographs from a magical visit to the idyllic island of Sri Lanka in 1981. The word serendipity is derived from an early name for the island, and it certainly lived up to its name. The photos are from scans of the Kodachrome slides I shot there.
From early 1979 to the end of 1981 I lived and surfed at Kirra on the southern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast. Kirra is arguably one of the best right-hand tube rides in Australia.
